Conventional Fertilizers

Agrihub has partnered with some of the leading conventional fertilizer manufacturers to provide a range of fertilizers for agricultural use. Conventional fertilizers are an essential component of modern agriculture, helping farmers to optimize crop yields and soil health.

What are Conventional Fertilizers?

Conventional fertilizers are synthetic or inorganic fertilizers that provide essential nutrients to crops. They are used to supplement soil that lacks sufficient nutrients to support healthy plant growth. These fertilizers have been used for many years to improve crop yields, and they are an essential component of modern agriculture.

Types of Conventional Fertilizers

We offer four types of conventional fertilizers: Straights, Blends, Specialties, and Compounds. Each type of fertilizer serves a specific purpose and contains a different blend of nutrients to cater to different crop needs.

Straights

Straights are fertilizers that contain a single nutrient and are used to supplement soil lacking in that specific nutrient. For example, our LAN 28 fertilizer contains 28% nitrogen, which is essential for plant growth and development.

Benefits of using straights:

  • Precision application: Straights allow for precise application of a specific nutrient, ensuring that the soil gets the nutrient it needs without adding any unnecessary elements.

  • Cost-effective: Straights are cost-effective as they are less expensive than other types of fertilizers.

  • Improved soil fertility: Straights can help improve soil fertility by addressing nutrient deficiencies in the soil.

Blends:

These fertilizers contain a mix of nutrients to cater to specific crop needs. Our blends include a mix of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium (NPK) ratios and other essential micronutrients to improve soil fertility and crop growth. The benefits of using blends are:

  • Balanced nutrient supply: Blends offer a balanced supply of nutrients, making them suitable for crops that require multiple nutrients.

  • Convenience: Blends are convenient as they eliminate the need for multiple applications of different fertilizers.

  • Improved soil fertility: Blends can help improve soil fertility by addressing multiple nutrient deficiencies in the soil.

Specialties:

These fertilizers cater to specific crop types and growth stages. They offer targeted nutrients to optimize crop growth, development, and quality. For instance, our Vita NS fertilizer is a foliar spray designed to provide essential micronutrients for improved fruit set and development.

The benefits of using specialties:

  • Targeted nutrition: Specialty fertilizers are designed to meet specific nutrient needs of particular crops and growth stages, ensuring that the plants get the nutrients they require.

  • Improved plant health: Specialty fertilizers can help improve plant health by providing nutrients that are crucial for plant development.

  • Increased yield: Specialty fertilizers can increase crop yield by providing the right nutrients

Example of Specialties

Compounds:

These fertilizers contain a mix of nutrients and offer balanced nutrient supply for the crops. Our range of compounds includes NPK ratios that provide balanced nutrition for plants.

The benefits of using compounds are:

    1. Balanced Nutrition: Compound fertilizers provide a balanced supply of nutrients for crops, ensuring they receive all the essential nutrients needed for optimal growth and development.

    2. Improved Soil Health: Compound fertilizers can improve soil health by providing a balanced supply of nutrients that promote soil microbe activity.

    3. Increased Yield: Compound fertilizers can increase crop yield by ensuring plants have all the nutrients they need to grow and produce abundant yields.

Additional Information

Recommended application rates and best practices for using the fertilizers can vary depending on the crop, soil type, and other environmental factors. We recommend consulting a local agronomist or our team of experts to determine the optimal fertilizer program for your crops.
